Artists explore non-physical realms of consciousness and the space in-between our ordinary reality and the abstract blueprint of life in the latest exhibition at Knox Gallery.
Kristin Reed, guest curator for this exhibition, features eight artists whose works guide toward a "shift" in consciousness. THE SHIFT: ART & SPIRIT presents the fundamental, unchanging principles of a rapidly changing world and opens us to the oneness of all things. Through the artists' works, we move toward a new understanding of the world as an energetic totality that focuses on the heart-centered; mirroring human consciousness in the world around us.
Participating artists include: Maggie Cousins, Diane Davis, Karen Fitzgerald, Nate Ladson, Paula Overbay, Kristin Reed, Atanaska Tassart, and Shirley Taylor.

The March 9 Opening Ceremony of THE SHIFT was a resounding success! One attendee, Deborah Pannell, posted this description on eventwist.com. She writes, "fueled by the sounds of special guest, Gong Master, Rashu Aten and his Sacred Healing Gongs, guests mingled in the intimate atmosphere of this warm, comfortable space. With its polished wood floors and classic townhouse feel, this place is surely reminiscent of the salons of yesteryear, begging to be filled by the broad assortment of creative folks and patrons of the arts who converged on the launch of the show."
